Ghirardelli // San Diego Gaslamp District

OMG! Oh My Ghirardelli!!!
This is not your regular ice cream shop. It was old fashioned and awesome. Rileigh got the chocolate dipped waffle cone with cookies and cream ice cream. Jackson got an awesome warm chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. What a treat! Both were really good. The DC Burger Boys give this place a double thumbs up.

Le Garage // Sausalito

Le Garage is in Sausalito, a short ride from San Fran on the Golden Gate Ferry. This French Bistro is a little hard to find, but well worth it. The view is awesome, and the decor is really cool. This place is really a transformed garage. Rileigh got the kobe beef burger, it was juicy and good. Jackson got the 7-hour housemade ham sandwich which was probably the best thing to get. It was delicious with the lettuce, tomato, avocado, and bacon.

Kevin Allen and his staff are very friendly. Kevin gave our family many restaurant recommendations for the rest of our San Fran stay.

An extra treat was seeing Tory from
MythBusters just a couple tables from us. Our first celebrity siting on the west coast!

The Crumpet Shop Seattle

Scrumptious Crumpets!!! Wow! This was a last minute treat before we left Seattle and we are so glad that we didn't miss it. Jackson had a crumpet with eggs, cream cheese and ham. Rileigh had one with chocolate hazelnut spread, of course.

We could watch them making the crumpets from a large window. It was very cool. Rob L. and the staff are very friendly too. We wish we had a crumpet shop in DC!

BISCUIT BITCH at Caffe Lieto - Seattle

Biscuit Bitch was so good and gave us the chance to say a bad word! Hehe! We ordered the bitchwich, the bitch diner breakfast, and the hot mess bitch. That's a lot of cursing, but a lot of good food!

Pearl Dive Oyster Palace

We finally ate at Pearl Dive and it was GREAT! Rileigh had the green chile cheeseburger. Jackson got the pulled BBQ chicken sandwich with red onions. Mom had the C.E.B.L.T. We shared so we could all have a taste. We can't decide which is best. They also make a pie which is like a Take 5 candy bar. If they have it, GET IT!

Coastal Flats Tyson's Corner

Grabbing some dinner before a movie. Rileigh ordered the grouper fingers and Jackson got the coastal shrimp roll. The bread basket was delicious with the sweet whipped honey and herb butter.

This place looks tropical with palm tree murals, aquatic creature sculptures, colorful lighting and pineapple shaped lanterns. It's kinda crazy for being in a mall, but it's cool.

The shrimp roll came out with fried shrimp, which we did not expect, but it was good. Served on a buttery toasted bun with lettuce and tartar sauce.

The grouper fingers were large and lightly batter fried. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Not dry or over cooked at all.

Both meals came with shoestring french fries, our favorite cut!

Overall this place is good, but we wouldn't come here all the time, even if it wasn't in a mall. Too much fried food, and not an adventurous menu.

Rileigh gives this place a thumbs up.
Jackson gives it 3/4 of a thumb.

Five Guys Silver Spring MD

Dubbed the Willy Wonkas of Burgercraft, Five Guys is one of our favorites! They use all natural ingredients, cook their delicious fries in peanut oil, and always please us with the great taste. Tip: get 1 regular fries to share between 2-3 people. Its plenty... Promise!

The DC Burger Boys give Five Guys 2 thumbs up!
